What we cover
Investment trends. Gaming deals hit $9.5B across 82 transactions in H1 2025, the strongest since the pandemic. PC and console companies lead in valuation, while early-stage funding remains minimal.
Mobile marketing patterns. Game installs are concentrated on Android (89.5%), but iOS generates most of the revenue. Gaming also shows a 26.5% ATT opt-in rate, one of the highest among app categories.
Mobile M&A and venture capital. Mobile studios made up 61% of M&A value (excluding AB deal). Turkish developers attracted 27% of all VC aimed at casual mobile games since 2020.
User behavior on Steam. Games with more wishlists sell better. Most Steam pages go live 6–12 months before launch. Top MMOs average 183K wishlists before release.
U.S. market performance. The U.S. market dropped 2% YoY in H1 2025. Nintendo Switch 2 sold 1.6M units in June: the biggest console debut in U.S. history. Non-mobile subscriptions reached $562M.
